Mat Based Pilates

THE GRIFFIT SIGNATURE CLASS

Our Mat Based Pilates class focuses on reducing day to day chronic pain.

You deserve to live an active life without physical restrictions. Team GRIFFIT is going to do our professional best to see you get it.

Our staff will professionally assess your body type and muscle imbalances with an aim on lengthening key muscles that are tight from overuse and weak from lack of activation.

Run Club

This needs TO BE PART OF YOUR ROUTINE

Whether you are a seasoned event runner or the thought of running actually scares you, our Run Club has the tools to improve how you move from A to B.

Our training sessions not only get you to run, but most importantly teach you how to run. We touch on appropriate footwear to decrease injury risk, correct foot placement, cadence speed, length of gait, incline/decline body placement and how to breathe.

Team GRIFFIT uses a combination of interval training (speed work with recovery) and endurance speed workouts to ensure that you will continually improve aerobically and anaerobically. One of the keys to continual improvement is variety, and that is what you are going to get with Run Club.

A building block to Run Club is metric based goal setting and event training. Clients can access their member portal for regular time trial results and fitness test scores. Don’t worry, there is no pass or fail, purely just a measurement of where you are today which allows you to plan where you’d like to be tomorrow.

Members attending Run Club are going to feel a real sense of “team” during the sessions. Workouts can be challenging, but the afterglow builds team unity and a great sense of achievement. You must check this one out for yourself!

HIIT 45

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) combines resistance work with short, fast interval based running grids. These grids will result in YOU shedding a massive 600-700 calories per workout… nice work!

The methodology behind training for 45 mins lies in the increased intensity needed to complete the sessions. HIIT 45 balances muscle fatigue and high heart rates perfectly to ensure YOU are left with a feeling of achievement at the end of EVERY training session.

Not only do you burn more calories during a HIIT 45 workout, but the effect of all that intense exertion kicks your body's repair cycle into hyperdrive. That means you burn more fat and calories in the 24 hours after a HIIT 45 workout than you do after a steady based run.

Did you know that building lean muscle not only looks great on your body but increases your metabolism speed?

A super charged metabolism is fundamental to burning body fat, and when these 2 things occur at the same time we have created the perfect storm for great training results.

TLS uses a large cross section of equipment: including dumbbells, core bags, kettle bells, slam balls, resistance bands, swiss balls and ropes to ensure you are continuously receiving the variety your body needs to continue improving. 

We believe: good form, under fatigue equals GREAT results. Each workout has been composed to have the flexibility to challenge you, but not at the expense of losing form and opening yourself up to injury. You will improve with quality hit outs under our experienced eyes.

TLS workouts are full body sessions to ensure you there are no weak areas in your bodies chain. At GRIFFIT our definition of strength is being able to perform all variety of exercises with equal ability. There is nothing you cannot do, just things you haven’t exposed yourself to enough!

box fit

Boxing is what it’s all about! Get ready to sweat up a storm, burn massive calories and get your heart rate sky high with a solid 50 minutes of non-stop boxing skill work. Box Fit includes stationary and moving boxing combinations, speed punching and time drills with bodyweight exercises thrown into the mix to keep you guessing! You will work with a partner, a group of 3 or the whole class, the combinations and variety are endless…you’re going to love it!

Your trainer will pair you up with partners of equal ability to ensure you have an enjoyable, effective workout. Training with a partner improves your ability to stay engaged and supported during the workout plus you get to make some great friends in the process.

Box Fit is designed to be a two-for-one cardio and strength outdoor workout. It improves several skill-related parameters of fitness, including balance, coordination, reactivity, and agility. The class has a big abdominal focus. It is the ideal workout for non-runners wanting to improve their heart and lung function.
